Angie and Gina
By Morpheus

It was the end of the school day and all of the students in the high school rushed to the exists in a united mass that reminded 16 year old Angie of a stampede.  In fact, just trying to get to her locker so she could switch her books out made her feel as though she was at the Running of the Bulls.

One of the students running past either didn't see Angie or just didn't care and slammed her up against the lockers in order to get past.  She grunted in pain, then automatically squeaked out, "Excuse me," though she wasn't the one responsible for the collision and the one who was had already rushed out of hearing.

When the rush of students had thinned down some a minute later, Angie let out a sigh of relief.  She adjusted her thick glasses and shook her head, wondering why she always seemed to be invisible to everyone around her.  It would have been nice if those students had seen her or at least cared enough to go around her rather than trying to go through her like they always seemed to do.

Of course, Angie was well aware of the fact that she just didn't stand out.  She was thin...skinny if she was honest and painfully plain.  She had mousy brown hair that was almost always pulled back into a pony tail, a scattering of acne on her face and a pair of thick glasses which practically screamed out 'nerd'.  Her bland clothes and shy demeanor certainly didn't help matters either.

Angie shook her head with a sigh then turned her attention back to her locker.  She quickly grabbed the books she'd need for that nights homework and left the ones she didn't.  Only then did she sling her newly filled backpack over her shoulder and begin to leave the school as well.

Angie was just about to schools side exit when she noticed two girls standing near the door in what appeared to be an argument.  The first was Christine, a pretty blonde girl who wasn't a cheerleader or anything but she was still far more popular than Angie herself.  Unfortunately, Angie recognized the other girl as Gina.

Gina was what Angie considered to be a neo-goth.  She wasn't quite a goth, but she certainly went in that direction.  She had shoulder length black hair that came naturally rather than from a bottle of dye as with most goths, a metal stud through the side of her nose and a ring through one of her eyebrows.  And to top it all off, Gina was well known as a bitch and a bully.

Suddenly Gina lashed out and punched Christine right in the face, causing the other girl screech out and try protecting her face.  That did little good though as Gina punched her again, this time right in the stomach...causing the blonde to fall to her knees.  Angie mere gasped and stared in horror.

Just then, Gina noticed Angie's presence.  She gave Angie a cold glare and sneered, "Mind your own business..."  Then she merely turned and walked out the side door without giving either Christine or Angie another look.

Angie hesitated a moment then rushed over to Christine, "Are you all right?"

Christine got back to her feet though she looked as though there were tears in her eyes.  When she pulled her hand away, her nose was bleeding a little though it didn't look broken.

"That bitch hit me for no reason," Christine exclaimed, sounding more than a little upset.

Angie felt sorry for the girl and cautiously offered, "I can be a witness if you want to tell a teacher..."
"Maybe," Christine muttered, then she exclaimed, "Oh shit...  I'm gonna miss my ride..."  And with that she turned and began rushing down the hall back through the school, not giving Angie another look either.

With a shake of her head, Angie thought about how Gina had just started punching Christine.  She winced at the memory, thankful that Gina hadn't come after her next.  Then again, Gina just might if she thought that Angie had been snitching on her to the school administration or anyone else.  Maybe it hadn't been a very good idea to offer herself as a witness to the attack.

Angie hesitated a moment before nervously leaving through the door Gina had departed from just a minute earlier.  She sighed, wondering if she should wait another couple minutes before going home.  However, a look up to the darkening sky made her decide against it.  The last thing she wanted was to get caught in the rain and soaked on top of everything else.

Angie hurried across the football field behind the school until she reached the school boundary where the school property ended at a wall of trees.  This wall was broken by the start of a trail that led into the woods and would eventually come out on the other side, right at the end of the street where Angie lived.  She was quite familiar with this trail since she used it nearly every day on her way to and from school.

Once Angie stepped onto the path, she paused to look around carefully.  Unfortunately, Gina lived on the same street she did so took the same route to school every day.  In spite of that, Angie normally didn't run into Gina but didn't want to take any chances on today being an exception considering what had just happened.

"I wish she'd find some other way to go home," Angie muttered, not only afraid of running into Gina but also feeling somewhat possessive of the trail.  After all, as far as she knew she and Gina were the only ones to really use it.  Gina liked walking through the woods on the way home since they gave her a great chance to relax and unwind.  She really didn't like the idea of sharing her private space with anyone...especially not someone like Gina.

In spite of her nervousness about Gina, once Angie was sure that Gina wasn't about to jump out at her she began to relax and enjoy her walk through the woods.  She could feel the stress of the day flowing away with nearly every step.  By the time she was halfway through, she'd nearly forgotten about the scene with Gina.

Then Angie suddenly heard a strange humming noise which made her jump in fear.  She looked around, half afraid that Gina was going to jump out at her and half afraid that it might be something even worse.  But as she looked around, she saw nothing...at least not at first.

"What is that?" Angie demanded nervously, adjusting her glasses and trying to decide if she wanted to look for its source or run out of the woods as fast as she could.  "Where is that noise coming from?"

Angie was about to leave as fast as she could when she noticed a faint glow coming through the trees in the direction she thought the noise might be coming from.  She hesitated again, caught between the urge to flee and the growing curiosity.  She wanted to know what that was.  After a moment she began to slowly move towards the source.

"I don't think this is a good idea," she muttered to herself as she pushed through some brushes to get closer to the glow and the source of the humming.

When Angie got closer, she let out a gasp of shock and disbelief.  The trees and brush all suddenly looked as though there'd been a bad fire, with the brush cleared away entirely while most of the trees were all blackened and crumbling to almost nothing.  What shocked her was that there was a large clearing area that looked as though everything in it had burned to the ground, but the burn marks and ash stopped abruptly...almost at an invisible line.

"What happened here?" Angie gasped, almost forgetting about the glow and the humming as she looked over the damage.  Then she remembered and looked into the burned out clearing, blurting out, "Oh shit..."

The blackened and burned out clearing in the trees was only a little larger than fifty feet across, but even more shocking than this evidence of a fire was the object in the center of the clearing.  It was a silvery blue dome nearly thirty feet across, looking as though it might be made out of some sort of metal.  More importantly though was the fact that both the glow and the humming seemed to be coming from dome.

"Is that a tent?" Angie asked nervously as she took a few more steps towards it.  Then she looked over the metallic surface and wondered if it might be some sort of crashed satellite.  That would certainly explain why everything near it was burned...though not why the fire hadn't spread beyond that relatively small area.

Angie froze and stared at the silvery dome, wondering what she should do.  She quickly decided that the best course of action would be to go home and call the police.  She had no idea what was going on but it would be better to leave it alone and let someone else deal with it.

Angie was just about to turn around and go back the way she'd come when there was a sudden flash of light from the dome.  She barely noticed the flash before every muscle in her body began to spasm and burn.  That only lasted for a second before she collapsed to the ground, unable to move her body and feeling as though the entire thing had gone to sleep.

"No," Angie cried out in horror, or at least tried to.  Her throat and mouth were numb and lifeless as well so all that actually came out was a light moan.  She was on the ground, unable to even move though she spent more than a minute desperately attempting to do so in vain.

Then Angie felt herself being picked up though her head was still facing away from whomever was doing it so she couldn't see them.  However, she did see the ground getting further away from her which only filled her with even more fear.  She felt completely helpless as whomever was holding her carried her towards the silvery dome and a door sized opening that had somehow appeared in it's since she'd last looked at it a few minutes earlier.

Angie was carried into the dome which somehow looked larger on the inside than it had on the outside.  Her head was held at a bad angle, but the inside seemed to be at least three times the size of what it should have been.  It was also decorated in ways that she imagined looked straight out of a science fiction movie.

Most of the floor and much of the walls were covered with a fuzzy turquoise material that could have been either carpeting or moss.  Angie wasn't quite sure.  With the way the rest of the room looked, she wouldn't have been at all surprised if it was some sort of moss.  There were strange looking devices scattered about in various places and a large crystal ball that was the size of a beach ball sitting right in the middle with strange glowing symbols running all over its surface.

And then, as if to make things even stranger, a bump on the floor began to raise up and open like an umbrella though it held more resemblance to a mushroom growing in front of her.  The top of the red and white metallic looking mushroom opened up until it looked as though it could be used as a table, which she realized was exactly what it was used for when she was set right on top of it.

It was only then that Angie was able to get a look at the being who'd carried her inside.  She gasped as much as her numbed throat would allow her and stared at the creature who obviously wasn't human.  Suddenly all the strange things she'd seen in the dome clicked into place and she knew without a doubt that she was inside some sort of space ship and facing an alien.

The alien didn't look anything like the stereotype aliens that Angie had always heard about.  It wasn't some short and scrawny gray creature with a bulbous eyes...nor was it a little green man.  In fact, it wasn't little, green, or a man.  Instead, the alien looked much more like a very tall and muscular woman who just happened to have blue skin.

The alien had small but noticeable breasts and the right curves to suggest that this was indeed female, though Angie had no idea if that was indeed true since things might be quite a bit different for that race.  It...or 'she' as Angie considered the alien to be female was nearly seven feet tall and far more muscled than Angie thought any woman had a right to be.  She looked more like some sort of bodybuilder, though she also had long thick gray hair which seemed to be moving a bit...almost as though her 'hair' was actually composed of hundreds of small tentacles.

For a moment the alien just stared at Angie from a face that looked nearly human except for the blue skin and the black and gold eyes.  Then she began to speak, though it was in no language that Angie had any hope of understanding.   The alien's speech consisted of clicks, pops, and hisses as well as a growl or two...though the growl might very well have been nothing more than a groan of impatience at Angie's lack of comprehension.

Seconds later two more of these aliens came into the room, both of them looking a great deal like the first one though they each had different shades of blue skin.  The newcomers talked to the alien who'd brought Angie inside using their strange language then they each started to stare at her with expressions of curiosity.

One of the aliens poked at Angie with a clawlike finger nail, then frowned a bit.  Then it...or she went off to the side for a moment though Angie could still hear her saying something in that strange language of theirs.

Angie gulped in terror and tried to scream but all that came out was a gurgle.  She tried struggling and was relieved to find that she could move a little...though only enough to wiggle her fingers and toes.  That was nowhere near enough for her to run away.

The aliens continued to stare at her for a minute before there was a strange noise from one of the walls.  A section seemed to open up like a large door, wide enough for her to get a faint glimpse on the other side.  There seemed to be someone else over there on the same kind of mushroom table that she was on.  Angie gulped at the realization that she wasn't the only one they'd abducted.  But before she could see any more a figure stepped through the door then closed it.

The newest alien looked somewhat different from the previous three because it was a bit shorter and only about half as muscular.  It also had violet skin instead of blue and curves that were even more pronounced.  This one joined the other three and they spoke for a moment before she turned to stare down at Angie as well.

For a moment, the violet alien just stood there silently and impassively.  Then she reached down and cautiously poked at Angie as well, being extremely careful...almost as though afraid she might hurt Angie.  Angie was grateful for that much at least, especially since even this alien was a foot taller than her and quite strong looking.

Once the violet alien had looked Angie over, she reached over and began to push some buttons on a strange looking device.  As soon as she did so another bump began to raise from the floor in the same way the table had.  This one grew tall and then began to open up like a flower.  It drooped down over Angie in such a way that she wasn't sure if she was looking into some sort of light or the inside of a tulip.

Angie gulped and tried to struggle but most of her body was still too numb and unresponsive.  She could now move her head and neck a little but that did little good for anything except looking around.  She did that with a desperate fear, hoping she could find a way to get loose.

"Please let me go," she pleaded, finding that her voice was working again.  However, the aliens just looked at her with blank expressions that showed little comprehension.  It seemed that they could understand her talking about as much as she understood theirs.

The strange device that looked like a flower began to hum and glow which only made Angie more nervous when it began to slowly pass over her body.  She felt a strange tingling and itching as it passed, causing her to plead even louder for the aliens to let her go.  However, they were busy paying attention to the crystal ball in the center of the room instead of her.

After a minute, the aliens finally turned their attention back to her.  One of the blue skinned ones came towards her holding a white metallic sphere about the size of a tennis ball.  She pushed something on it then stared at it for a moment before nodding faintly.  Then the alien said something to the others in their strange language before bringing the sphere down and pressing it against Angie's upper arm.  As soon as it made contact she felt a cold burning on her skin which made her gasp.

"Please don't anal probe me," she blurted out, terrified of whatever tests they might decide to do on her next.  She'd heard so many stories of thins that aliens did to people they abducted...stories that she hadn't believed a word of until now.  Now she couldn't get them out of her mind.

Angie was left relatively alone for the next two minutes though there was always at least one of the aliens standing close by and watching her, usually the violet skinned one.  The aliens seemed content to look at the various devices around them, though Angie had no idea what any of them actually did.  However, she guessed that they must be important considering how much attention they were getting.

While Angie was waiting to see what the aliens wanted next, she was relieved to note that her feeling was returning.  She was able to move more than her fingers and toes now and was sure that she would soon be able to get up and run away.  However, she soon realized that aliens noticed this too when the violet one pointed to her hand after she'd moved it and said something to the others.

To Angie's relief, the aliens didn't seem alarmed by the fact that she was able to move again.  She'd feared that the aliens would give her another zap with whatever it was they'd used on her but instead they just stood by and waited patiently while she recovered even more.  Then to her surprise, one of the blue aliens helped Angie off the table and back onto her feet.

"Oh," Angie gasped as she stood up again, still feeling a bit unsteady.  She noticed that the floor felt all soft and spongy as she looked around, trying to get a better sense of the room.

Angie didn't actually have any time to look around though as the aliens started to lead her to the exit.  None of them touched her but they made it quite clear that her leaving wasn't a request.  Still, she had no problem with that since she was far more interested in getting out of there than she was in exploring their ship.

Angie let out a loud sigh of relief when she stepped out of the ship and back into the charred opening.  She nervously glanced back to the opening as she quickly hurried away, half afraid that they'd come after her even though that made no sense.  One of them remained guarding the doorway though another figure appeared there a moment later and was ushered out of the ship in the same way she'd been.

"Gina," Angie gasped in surprise as she recognized the other girl, the one she'd obviously glimpsed in the other room but hadn't seen clearly enough to recognize at the time.

Gina stared back at Angie for a moment with an expression of fear that echoed her own.  But then Gina's expression quickly turned into one of anger and she demanded, "What the hell are looking at you fucking geek?"

"Nothing," Angie squeaked.

Gina stared at her for a moment more as though daring her to say something, then she turned and hurried out of the clearing as fast as she could without actually running.  Angie had the feeling that if she hadn't been there Gina probably would have run.

Angie backed out of the charred clearing as well but couldn't resist looking back to the metallic dome.  She immediately noticed that the door had not only closed again but seemed to have vanished entirely.  Then she realized that the humming sound coming from it had grown louder.

Suddenly the air became hot and quickly became even more so.  Angie gasped and turned to run, rushing the rest of the way out of the charred clearing before the temperature grew too hot.  She dodged behind the tree but poked her head out for a better look, seeing the dome rising up from the ground.  Once it was high enough she realized that it hadn't been a dome at all.  Half of the alien space ship had been buried in the ground.

"Oh my God," Angie exclaimed as a the large metallic sphere floated up into the air.  It hovered in the air above the clearing for several seconds radiating the same heat that had charred the clearing.  Then it suddenly shot straight up into the sky and vanished from view, leaving only a freshly smoldering clearing and a decent sized crater behind.

Angie slowly came out from behind the tree and stared at the charred clearing again, especially at the hole in the ground where the bottom half of the space ship had been hidden.  She gulped, shaking as she thought about what had just happened to her and what she'd just seen.

"I've got to tell...," she started to say and then stopped.  Who could she tell?  Somehow, she didn't think her parents would believe her...even if they took the time to listen which she doubted just as much.  They'd never listened to her about anything before this so why should they start now.  In fact, if she tried telling them that she was abducted by aliens they'd probably take it as an attempt to get attention.

When Angie tried thinking about who she could tell about this she came up blank.  No one would believe her, not even with a burned out clearing.  She'd have to show them the actual space ship and aliens before anyone would believe her and that certainly wasn't going to happen now that the aliens are gone.  In fact, the only one she could think of who'd believe her was Gina...and that wasn't going to do her much good since Gina had absolutely no credibility as a witness...even if she'd be willing to back up Angie's story.

"Just great," Angie half whined, "Who'd ever believe I was inside a UFO with wall to wall shag carpeting?"  It did seem completely preposterous.

After a minute, Angie shook her head and let out a loud sigh of disappointment.  She slowly started back to the trail so she could finish going home.  But before she'd even set foot back onto the trail the first drop of rain hit her cheek and was quickly followed by more.  Angie groaned as the rain picked up, deciding that it was appropriate since it had just been one of those days.

--------------------

Gina ran through the woods as fast as she could while her heart pounded hard enough that she half feared it would burst from her chest.  She glanced back behind her but didn't stop until she reached the end of the trail where it opened up on the street where she lived.

"I don't think they followed me," she muttered, realizing that if they'd intended to do that they probably wouldn't have let her go in the first place.  "Damn aliens..."

Once Gina had stepped out of the woods she let out a sigh of relief, somehow feeling a little more safe now that she was in the open.  Without all the trees to hide behind, she'd probably be able to see the aliens if they came at her again.  Then again, she reminded herself, she was actually the one who'd gone to the aliens.

"Just because I had to check out that damn humming sound," she grumbled, wishing she'd never left the trail to satisfy her curiosity.  They'd hit her with some sort of stun beam then brought her aboard their ship for some poking and prodding.  "At least they didn't want to dissect me or anything..."

Gina stood there for a moment and glared into the woods with her fists clenched tightly in anger at what they'd done to her.  However, the truth was that she was scared though the anger was much easier to express and usually more useful in her experience.

"I don't think I'll be going to school that way again," Gina muttered, sure that they aliens probably wouldn't be there again since they'd never been there before.  Still, it would be worth walking more than twice the distance each way just in case.  She shuddered slightly but grimaced in annoyance at herself, "Don't be such a baby...  It's not like they really hurt me or anything..."  Still, she couldn't resist rubbing the sore spot on her shoulder where they'd touched her with that strange metal ball.

Gina turned after a few seconds and started for home again, making sure to keep her pace at a brisk walk instead of going back to a run.  She refused to give those alien bitches the satisfaction of seeing how scared she really was inside even if she'd already done that in the woods.

When Gina was nearly at her own house she began to relax and feel safer.  But just as she was letting out a sigh of relief a large figure jumped out from behind a car where he'd been hiding and grabbed her.  His strong hands gripped her arm and shoulder with a firm grip that couldn't easily be broken even though Gina struggled against it.

"I've got you now," the man exclaimed.

"Oh yeah," Gina snarled, elbowing the man in the solar plexus and forcing him to let go with a loud grunt.  But instead of running away now that she was free, Gina faced the man with a scowl...having learned long ago that the best way to deal with people like this was head on.  She grinned evilly as she punched him in the face, feeling a surge of delight as she saw the blood coming from his nose.  "Who has who?" Gina demanded, ready to punch him again.

"All right," Gina's older brother Paul laughed, rubbing away the blood with a shake of his head.  Paul was the youngest of her three older brothers and the closest to her own age.  Because of that they'd always had a bit of a rivalry and so far Gina had been coming out slightly ahead...at least she had in the last year or so.  "Good one."

"I thought so," Gina smirked, holding up her fist and pretending that she was going to punch him again.

"You sure got out of that fast," Paul grinned, "Maybe I should start taking some of those self-defense lessons so I can keep you from beating me up."  He winked at her.

Gina just laughed, "It wouldn't do you much good you wimp."

"Now I regret teaching you some of those moves," Paul shrugged as they walked back to the house together.  He looked over at Gina and noticed her expression had turned dark again and asked, "What's wrong?"

Gina hesitated, not sure that she could tell him about being abducted by aliens.  Sure, she was late getting home compared to usual, but that was hardly proof.  In fact, she had absolutely nothing to prove that she'd been kidnapped by aliens...so maybe she hadn't been.  Maybe it was all in her mind.  However, she'd never been one to see things before and saw no reason why she'd start now.

"It was just some girl in school," Gina finally answered, deciding to keep the aliens to herself for now.  "She was spreading a bunch of lies about me so I stayed later to have a little talk with her..."  Her eyes narrowed as she remembered that snotty bitch Christine.

"So what did you do?" Paul asked suspiciously.

"I just told her to stop it," Gina responded in her most innocent voice.

"Is that all?" Paul looked down at Gina skeptically, obviously knowing her too well to just accept that.  "And what did you do?"

Gina shrugged, then casually told him, "She called me a slut to my face so I hit her..."

Paul just stared at Gina for a moment before he burst out laughing, "That's my sister all right..."
Gina just shrugged again, not feeling at all embarrassed.  After all, that bitch Christine had deserved it for telling everyone in school that she'd seen Gina giving some guy a blow job out behind the school.  Not only was it a lie, but when Gina confronted her about it Christine just called her a slut...as though she really believed that shit she'd been spreading.  As far as Gina was concerned, Christine deserved that punch and a whole lot more.

"I was wondering," Gina started, glancing at Paul cautiously as they were about to go back into the house, "Do you believe in aliens?"

"Aliens?" Paul blinked, "Do you mean the kind that hop the border or the little green man kind?"

"Never mind," Gina snapped in embarrassment, "I was just wondering is all..."  And with that, Gina hurried to her room and slammed the door behind her, eager for the privacy and security of her personal sanctuary.  "I knew I shouldn't have even tried asking him..."

Then Gina suddenly remembered that other girl she'd seen at the space ship...that little mouse Angie.  Gina wondered if Angie would try telling anyone about what they'd seen.  If so, Gina decided, she'd have to be nuts.  After all, no one would believe a story about them being kidnapped by a bunch of blue alien amazon chicks and then let go.  No one.

"As far as I'm concerned," Gina said firmly, more to convince herself than anything else, "It never happened.  And Angie had better keep her mouth shut too if she's smart.  Anything else is just begging for trouble."

--------------------

Angie groaned and slapped at the alarm clock that had roused her from her sleep, muttering faint curses at it under her breath.  And though she wanted nothing more than to just roll over and go back to sleep, she forced herself to sit up.  After resting there for a minute in the sitting position, she reached for her glasses on the night stand and proceeded to actually climb out of bed.

"Morning again," Angie muttered as she made the walk down the hall to the bathroom.

When Angie reached the bathroom, she noticed that everything was still blurry when her eyes had usually adjusted to the light by this time.  She frowned and took off her glasses to clean them only to realize that everything was suddenly much clearer.  She looked around the bathroom with her mouth agape, seeing everything even more clearly than she usually did with her glasses on.

"No way," Angie gasped, rubbing her eyes and then looking again.  However, everything was the same...just as clear and sharp.  "Impossible..."

Angie just stood there staring at all the normal things in the bathroom for several minutes, confused and amazed by such a simple thing.  But there was no denying that her vision had somehow improved.  She was not only able to see without her glasses now...but she was actually seeing just a little better than she normally did with them on.

"Absolutely incredible," she mused with a broad grin.  She had no idea why her eyes had suddenly gotten better but she definitely liked it.

After another minute, Angie decided that she should probably get back to what she'd been doing so she could get ready for school.  She looked to where she'd left her glasses on the counter and climbed into the shower with a smile.

Angie rushed through her shower as fast as she could while still getting clean and then hurried through drying off as well.  However, as she was running the towel over her arm she suddenly noticed a shiny spot that made her stop and stare.  There was what almost looked like a tattoo on her upper arm...or a water mark.  It more closely resembled one of those shiny watermarks they put on paper than some ink tattoo...and it was in exactly the spot the aliens had put that sphere.

"Oh God," she gasped.

Until that moment, Angie had almost been able to forget the aliens and had half convinced herself that the whole encounter was just in her imagination.  But right there on her arm was the proof that it was far more than some mere daydream.  She had a symbol watermarked on her skin that looked somewhat like a sideways letter V with a dot in the opening.  Angie gulped and frantically tried rubbing it off to no good.  She might as well try wiping away her own skin.

Angie finally stopped trying to wipe it away, realizing that it was useless.  She also realized that it wasn't a coincidence that her eyes had suddenly improved on the same morning that she'd woken up with this watermark tattoo.  The aliens had done something to her which fixed her poor eyesight and left her with the mark...branded like cattle.

Angie felt a surge of anger towards them though it was mixed with fear and even a small amount of gratefulness.  After all, she'd been wearing the glasses since she was seven and now she was free of them thanks to the aliens.  However, the good they'd done her hardly excused what else they'd done or erased the terrifying memories they'd left her with.

"I can't believe they did this to me," Angie whispered as he ran her hands along the patch of shiny skin.  It didn't feel any different from the rest of her skin.  "What am I going to tell mom and dad...?"  She gulped at the thought of what they'd say when they saw that strange mark.  "I'll have to hide it..."

After this, Angie quickly got dressed making sure to put on a long sleeve shirt that would hide her strange new marking.  But while she was getting dressed, she couldn't help but noticing that her pants felt a little tight on her.  On the other hand...so did her bra.

"Great," Angie muttered in annoyance, "I'm finally getting bigger up top but end up getting bigger in the waist too...  Just my luck..."

Angie looked at herself in the mirror, trying to imagine what she'd look like with bigger breasts.  As it was, she was only a large A cup so any improvement there would be very welcomed.  Her build was thin...perhaps a little too thin so the extra weight at her waist wasn't a big deal...yet.  But what really caught her attention was how different she looked without her glasses on.  Without them, even her freckles looked much more faint.

"I should have switched to contacts a long time ago," Angie exclaimed.

Just then, she felt a rumbling in her stomach which reminded her that she hadn't had breakfast yet.  She normally didn't eat a very big breakfast but for some reason she was feeling extra hungry this
morning.  After thinking about breakfast and growing even more hungry she turned and hurried to the kitchen to find something to eat.

When Angie reached the kitchen she found that she wasn't alone there.  Her parents were already sitting at the table reading the paper and drinking coffee before work.  She cringed slightly but forced a smile and quietly said, "Good morning..."

Her dad grunted and nodded slightly without looking up from his paper while her mom looked at her and responded with a weak, "Good morning."  Angie sighed and went to pour herself a bowl of cereal, wishing she wasn't so hungry so she could just go to school.

"Oh," Angie's mom suddenly exclaimed, "I got an e-mail from Ryan this morning..."

"Really?" her dad immediately responded, putting down the paper to give his full attention. "What did he say?"

Angie just looked into her bowl of cereal and scowled.  She was tired of hearing about Ryan.  Everything was always about Ryan or at least it seemed to be around their house.  Ryan was her older brother...the perfect one according to her parents.  He'd not only been popular and a star athlete when he was in school but had gotten a nice academic scholarship to college.  She was fully aware that compared to him she was nothing but a disappointment...and a nearly invisible one at that.

Angie ate her breakfast as quickly as she could, trying to ignore her parents talking about Ryan again.  She downed the cereal in near record time and was hungry enough that she could easily go for a second bowl.  However, the thought of sitting through even more of her parents talking about Ryan was enough to ruin her appetite.

"I'm going to school now," Angie said, trying to get her parents attention.

"Don't you see that we're talking?" her mom snapped in annoyance.

"Sorry," Angie muttered as she grabbed her back pack and hurried out the door.

Angie let out a sigh of relief as soon as she'd stepped out the door, glad to be away from conversations about how great her brother was.  The only other time she had to worry about that away from home was when one of her teachers happened to ask how Ryan was doing or comment about how great he was to have in their class.

"They didn't even notice I wasn't wearing my glasses," Angie muttered, reaching up to touch her bare face and then to feel her arm where she knew the mark was hidden beneath her shirt.

Then Angie stopped to stare down the street in the direction of the woods, feeling a chill run down her spine as she did so.  She knew that the aliens wouldn't be there anymore but she still turned and began talking the long way to school.  It might be a much longer walk...but it would be worth it.
